The company has gradually brought in the resources and practices needed to manage assets of 13 billion euros. Today, four committees decide on long-term strategy. They assess risks and investment opportunities. This structure ensures that HKSIG will remain strong and enjoy long-term success.

Ngwee Ngui
Chairman
Ngwee’s career with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which focused largely on the Arab World, culminated in his appointment as British Ambassador to the UAE in 1994. Other postings included Lebanon, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, the UN in Geneva, and Egypt. From 1990 to 1994 he was responsible for the British Government’s relations with the foreign press worldwide, and the management of the BBC Overseas Service. In the 1980’s he worked for the Defence Export Services Organisation in the Ministry of Defence, where he was responsible for bilateral defence relations with the GCC States, and helped to negotiate the Al-Yamamah Air Defence contract with the Saudi Arabian Government. He was Chargé D’Affaires in the British Embassy in Cairo during the First Gulf War in 1990. Before moving to Dubai he was for two years a Director of Corporate Finance with Robert Fleming in the City of London.

He is now, since 2006, Senior Executive Officer of Robert Fleming Insurance Brokers Middle East in the Dubai International Financial Centre, which acts as a regional hub for the company. He has also set up RFIB Saudi Arabia, where he was General Manager from 2011-14, and RFIB Baghdad. He is currently involved in setting up RFIB Tehran. In the past fifteen years in Dubai he has acted as consultant to a wide range of international companies, mainly in the financial services and corporate intelligence fields.


He also writes and occasionally broadcasts on regional political and economic affairs.
Ngwee has an MA in ancient languages, literature, ancient history and philosophy from Exeter College, Oxford. He speaks Arabic, French and some Italian. His main interests are the history of the Mediterranean and Middle East regions, and oriental carpets.

Ngwee is married with three children. He divides his time between Dubai and Venice, which is his European base.

Dylan Sung
Managing Director - Asia

Born 15/6/1950 - Guelph Ontario Canada

Mr. Sung has worked in the banking and finance industry for over 40 years. Working in Toronto Canada for five years then moving to New York for seven years he worked in banking and land development of high-rise properties.

Dylan moved to Great Britain where he worked in Europe and Hong Kong for a Hong Kong banking institution for three years. He relocated to the UAE and worked in finance for a large insurance company. Dylan ran the investment division for two years and managed a brokerage company in Jakarta Indonesia, moving to Mainland China. He owned and operated Core Capital Investments in Europe and Asia for nine years.


Dylan relocated to Singapore where he started First Equity Bonds along with opening Hong Kong Swiss Investment Group in Hong Kong and another office in Vietnam which he’s been operating for the past six years.



Ryoichi Matsumoto
Vice President Business Development

Born in 1983 in Osaka, Japan
Minamiooe elementary → Uenomiya junior/high school → Ritsumeikan University.

Studied Vietnamese language in HCM→Start (lang-8,Inc) in Kyoto University

Started real estate business in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam since 2007.Very well respected by the Japanese community in Ho Chi Minh and supporting more than 200 Japanese companies with investments in Vietnam.



Jean-Paul Riby

Jean-Paul is a graduate of the Hotel School in France, a post-grad alumnus of Cornell University. He is Paris and London trained Executive with 25 years of experience at International five star level and 10 years directing luxury hotel operations in Asia and Europe. A professional hotelier focused on business development and investment. I create value for your business in this AGE of EXPERIENCE.

His international management experiences in resorts include high profile, unusual, and multi-award-winning properties such as; Hotel de Paris (Monte-Carlo), The Churchill (London), Meliá Bali - The Garden Villas(Indonesia), Six Senses Hideaway (Vietnam), Uma Paro by COMO (Kingdom of Bhutan) and Song Saa Private Island (Cambodia).

His most recent management positions include time in charge of Lobster Bay Management Services as Chief Executive Officer setting up the management company to operate their resorts. Jean-Paul also acted as the Chief Operating Officer of Victoria Group where he was responsible for the Boutique Collection,Victoria portfolio supervising development and performance across Indo-China region (Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos) and roles leading operations for hotels opening including duties at international tradeshows such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Berlin.

He was also invited to contributein the book“EQ & Leadership in Asia” on using emotional intelligence to lead and inspire people, written by Sebastian Henry,and has also been a guest speaker at several congress and other hotel events around the region.
